Ladbrokes Reputation

: 5/5

Ladbrokes AKA ‘The Magic Sign’ are regarded by many as the biggest betting company in the world. The company was founded in 1886 although the most significant beginnings can be found in 1961 when a small group of betting shops were established in England.

Ladbrokes now have over 2,200 retail outlets spanning the United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy and Belgium. This serves to reinforce a credible brand, although they are no slouches online, especially after recently revamping the sportsbook part of their website to meet growing customer demand.

Many enjoy being a customer with Laddies simply because they’re the biggest and best, although they tend to be a strong player when it comes to horse racing odds and customer service. They are also one of the few firms that offer live streaming.

Ladbrokes Bonuses / Value

: 4/5

Ladbrokes do rely on having a strong brand to reel the customers in, with the free bet bonuses not exactly pulling up any trees.

New sportsbook customers can qualify for a £25 free bet, where you place a qualifying bet up to £25 and you’ll get your bonus wager once the original bet has been settled. However, it’s worth noting that they tend to increase their offer to coincide with big betting days like the Cheltenham Festival and World Cup, where you could find yourself landing a £100 free bet instead!

Indeed, when it comes to horse racing, Ladbrokes have taken the recent step of offering Best Odds Guaranteed which means you can take a price on a horse and get paid out at SP if it’s bigger!

In addition to sportsbook, there are several ancillary gaming products that also come under the Ladbrokes umbrella. All new casino players can qualify for up to £50 free and there are over 460 games available, while poker players can claim a welcome bonus between £30 and £600 (based on how many poker points you generate). For burgeoning bingo players, there is £20 up for grabs.

Ladbrokes $$$ / Security

: 5/5

You don’t become the biggest sportsbook in the world without making sure that security is paramount for customers. Ladbrokes employ advanced security systems to protect all customers’ personal and financial information prior to transmission, across their distribution channels, to ensure it is not accessible to anyone but Ladbrokes. Secure Socket layer (SSL) technology, certified by the leading security organisation, Verisign, is implemented to encrypt all confidential data, which is managed by infrastructure, installed behind secure firewall technologies.

Ladbrokes should also be commended for highlighting the various payment methods on their website. A map of the world is presented within their ‘Banking’ section and, by clicking on your region, they outline all the various depositing / withdrawal methods, along with how long you should expect to wait for your winnings. A summary of all deposit options is provided below.

Ladbrokes Customer Service

: 4.5/5

Unfortunately, there is no live chat available with Ladbrokes, although they do offer telephone and email support. Staff are on hand 24/7 to help with queries relating to bets placed, payment problems or technical issues. There is also a handy list of FAQ’s while there is plenty of other information (such as the ‘Banking’ section previously mentioned) which help customers enjoy the betting experience with the Magic Sign.

Contact care@ ladbrokes.com to email customer support or call 0800 731 6191 (from the UK) or +44 208 429 7971 from outside the UK.

Ladbrokes Software / Website

: 4/5

It’s a safe rather than spectacular betting experience at Ladbrokes, although they do cover a wide range of sports and offer a host of various pre-match and In-Play markets to their customer base. Indeed, they are really improving when it comes to live betting and this is supplemented by ‘Ladbrokes TV’ where you’ll find a range of streamed events on sports such as tennis, football and darts. Ladbrokes use proprietary software for their sportsbook and there’s little doubt that the overall customer experience has been greatly improved since the website was revamped. In-Play betting is more accessible and navigation is much easier.
